The Plan
“For where two or three gather in my name, there an I with them.” Matthew 18:20
The Fellowship Team believes God intends for us to experience life together. We believe this should include unselfish loving, honest sharing, practical serving, sacrificial giving and sympathetic comforting. Our efforts will be to support each group by providing suggestions and information for your group.
Everyone will have the opportunity to sign up into one of four different categories during January 2011. Each unit (single, couple, or family) will be asked to get together at least four times in 2011 with their group. Once people sign up, we will put groups of three or four units together.
While the Fellowship Team will provide a list of possible events, it will be up to the group to come up with a list of events it would like to do, and possible dates for the events.
We also request the group does some kind of service or outreach project together, and our team will provide some ideas for this also.
Expedition
These groups may enjoy events with or without children and will probably include an all day or overnight time period. Possible events include family camping trip, adult overnight trip, or other as decided on by the group.
Adventure
These groups may enjoy family or individual events and will probably last longer that a 3 hours, but will not include overnight stays. Possible events include a trip to Soulard Market in St. Louis, dinner with the Amish, or a riverboat cruise at Hannibal Missiouri.
Discover
These Groups may enjoy family or individual events and will probably not last longer than 3 hours. Possible events include a trip to Henson-Robinson Zoo, a visit to Memorials Tree of Lights festival, or a Jr. Blues or Sliders game.
Explore
These groups will focus on family events. Possible events include a cookout at someone’s house, a play date at a park, of some of the wonderful events found at Springfield Moms.
Sign up at the Welcome table or email the Church Office. Be sure and note in what type of group you would like to participate.
